Update for Steak
easy explanation of why the price is sooooooooooo low..... it needs about $30,000 to make it liveable! it's in such poor condition, from what i hear from the people hired to maintain the property, it needs more than just new paint. All new flooring, a new roof, new appliances, it needs a complete overhaul. it's taking the value from mine. Wanna buy it? We'll be asking $125,000. My side is perfect almost ready to sell, come this spring!

Your place looks cute. However, to answer your question, we're no longer in the housing market.
We decided to wait until we're completely debt-free and we have an emergency fund in place of three to six months of expenses before we buy.
How long will that take? I have no idea. Before, I would have said about another five years. But every time I dedicate this to God and press in, the time gets shortened. So, I'll let you know.
Still, I like it. With a little elbow grease, it sounds like it would be a cute place (or a nice place to rent out).

For a little clarification- the link is NOT my place. It's the other side of my duplex in sad dis-repair that I'm so excited about it finally going up for sale after the owners have been evicted for a year and a half. My side however, is in PERFECT (ok not perfect) condish. The inside is decorated like a PotteryBarn catalog and we've already put tons of elbow grease into it so we can in turn later sell ours for oooooo say $130k.
This other side, is in fact a perfect piece of property for an investor or house flipper... O, please someone buy this house and fix it up so we can sell ours!
