submission not sumbission!

damn these fake nails, i didn't even notice the typo until just now..... damn them, DAMN THEM! my typing skills are somewhat impaired by long, gorgeous, perfectly manicured digits. oh how the skills have improved, of the little asian nail shops! they used to look like blobs of thick plastic, now they are thin, perfect and virtually undetectable as "fake nails". that is if you go to the right shop, which took several tries to find.... nail perfection in olathe, is by far the best i've found.... at least for fake nails.... country club nails on the plaza is amazing for pedis. it took many places to find the right shop for a good pedicure, i love them!

it seems pretty trivial to write about such things as fake nails or my tshirt submission (did you vote yet) on threadless.com in light of all the recent happenings from Hurricane Katrina..... but believe me, my heart goes out to all down there, and it has hit a little closer than i'm comfortable with. my best friend maria that lives in atlanta, has been the go between for her family that had to flee slidell and new orleans. they left the first evacuation, before the storm was too close. we're going down to see her tomorrow... because of the recent disaster, she now has to accomodate for her brother, his friend and her step-sister. we have since booked a hotel and changed our plans. i'm not at all put out by any of this, after all my problems are quite easy compared to those i'll be playing with this weekend. all they have between the three of them fit in maria's brothers car.... my job now is to make sure they have some fun this weekend and to forget about the problems that will be lingering for months ahead. i'm glad to help, even if it's just touching the lives of three refugees and keeping them entertained and to forget about their problems at least for a few days....

donate, do something, help.....
