Tale of the Disappearing Graphic Designer
Well hopefully...
Today's the day my life will change for the better... Today after work, after lots of thought and procrastination I'm joining a gym. After careful thought and weighing options as well as the constant weighing of myself, I've decided to make a change for the better. I am soon to be the newest member of the 24 Hour Fitness family of fitness fanatics. I've had enough of being chunky and knowing I could look much better, because I used to. I guess we all used to...
*flashback*
In high school I was ripped and athletic, I ran track for 6 years (including jr. high) and qualified for the State Championships every year. I was one of two freshman on the varsity team, and earned my Varsity letter that year, which to this day is still un-heard of. My letter jacket jingled and jangled as I walked down the hall, clanging from all the medals adorned on it. I was an amazing sprinter, who slacked during practice but always gave a winning performance on race day. I was the either the first or the final leg on the 4 x 100m relay, and we consistently broke school and meet records...
Back to reality... That was only a mere 10 years ago, and by far things are not that bad for me. With a little hard work and determination, I'll be back to where I want to be in no time! I'm not looking to run marathons or break records, I might throw in a 5k here and there but I just want to look and feel healthy. So, let the progress begin!

Oh, what joy it would be to live and work in Lawrence. Maybe someday for the steak ...
Sorry, I posted that on the wrong blog. Tabbed browsing isn't always a good thing, obviously. Good luck to you. Let's see some pics when you're done. Are you following any certain program or doing your own thing?
