princess is doing fine!
i picked princess up from the vet on friday afternoon from having her claws lasered out. she was whiney all the way home and looked like she was in pain. but when i opened her carrier she walked out without a limp, she seemed to me doing well. she kept to herself most of the evening, but i could tell that she did have some irritation from the procedure. she tried to scratch her head with her back foot and then she limped a bit afterwards. it's been several days and she seems to be doing a-ok, she's not limping or favoring one paw over the other. she's been jumping on and off things since i brought her home, i'd have to say even in her old age of 9 her surgery was a success!

wow...look at all the posts...how could i have missed all this?
first off, congrats on the 2.75! Thats an amazing start for your first week! You're going to look fantabulous come august!! I expect weekly updates missy!!!
i've considered the laser treatment for the kittehs. not that they scratch stuff up very often, but they have their spots...it would break my heart to leave one of them at the vet overnight, but if it meant less scars on my body and furniture that didn't have the weathered and frayed look, i suppose it would be worth it.
And one other thing...i'm a mac too. its amazing we needed to take a test to get such an obvious answer...
haha!
don't worry the weekly updates will be posted, be it good or bad..... i'm feeling good, sore as hell and it feels great, i'm starting to feel like an athlete again already.
it killed me and i teared up when i had to drop her off, knowing she was gonna hurt for a few days and she wasn't sick but it was well worth it. no more scratches on me (i have enough battle scars), my leather office chair or my carpet, and she's doing good! i promise they'll be back to being the fuzzy retards they are in no time. my doofus kat was, and she doesn't even hate me for it, honestly i don't think she knows they're missing.
well the treatment would take care of the scratching. we'd probably only need to do their fronts. The really big issue we seem to have is Sasha's teeth. She eats carpet fuzz and likes to chew on all things string-like...i wonder if they have a treatment for that.
i would have only done the fronts except she uses her back claws to climb on things.... it was her back claws that scratched up my chair, ripped my duvet cover and gave me the bulk of my scars..... she likes to "peel out" with her back ones when she runs so they had to go too....
we we're wondering if there was a sharp teeth treatment as well.......
so glad to hear that the surgery went well and princess has recovered so well! hugs for kitty!!!
